information iconWhen replacing the fl ue pipe on an installed boiler follow the steps below before proceeding with replacement procedure:

  1. Shutoff and or isolate the external power supply.
  2. Shutoff and disconnect the gas supply pipe.
  3. Shutoff and disconnect the boiler’s supply and return piping.
  4. Drain water from the boiler then remove the tridicator gage, PRV and blow off piping.
  5. Remove the exhaust and combustion air pipes along with the vent adapter.
  6. Reverse steps after installing the stainless steel vent pipe and check system of for leaks.

warning icon WARNING:

♦ This bulletin is intended to provide technical guidance to a professional who is licensed and qualified to work on boiler products and components. If you are not qualified to work on such equipment, please obtain the services of such a professional.

  11. Close the boiler’s front panel. If boiler was installed, reconnect the boiler’s electric power and gas supply, pressurize the boiler’s internal water and reconnect existing venting. Test run the boiler to check for flue gas leaks or condensation leaks.
    a. If no leaks are present, the work is complete.
    b. If leaks are present, check the connections and reseat and/or tighten where needed. Run the boiler and again check for leaks.
