Pre-installation check
- Lock Ultra is compatible only with wooden doors with a thickness between 30 mm and 90 mm.
- The accessory plate is required only if there are existing holes in the door. If the door is new, do not use the accessory plate.
- The strike plate requires a minimum 30 mm wooden frame around the door.
- Ensure the door thickness and mortise size match the product requirements.
Installation notes
- Installation must be performed by a qualified UC technician or strictly as per the instructions provided.
- Use only the supplied installation accessories and cutting template to ensure a secure fit.
- Do not modify or drill the lock body beyond the recommended points.
- Ensure the lock is firmly mounted to prevent misalignment or malfunction.

Battery & care

Installing the battery
- Slide up the cover on the back panel to reveal the battery slot.
- Insert the battery with the bottom end first.
Removing the battery
- Slide up the cover on the back panel to reveal the battery slot.
- Pull the battery from the top and slide it out.
Charging the battery
- The low-battery indicator on the Lock Ultra front panel alerts you when the battery is low.
- Use a Type-C charger with a power adapter rated up to 120W.
- Charging status:
Red light: Charging
Green light: Fully charged - Once charged, remove the battery and store it in a dry, safe place.
- Charging typically takes 6–8 hours. Avoid overnight charging to prevent reduced battery capacity.
Unlocking the door incase of battery outage
- Use a power bank, laptop, or smartphone to power the lock via the Type-C input under the slide cover on the front panel.
- Alternatively, use the physical key in the keyhole under the slide cover.
Battery safety guidelines
- Do not expose the battery to fire, heat, or direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Do not puncture, crush, drop, or open the battery.
- Do not immerse the battery in water.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Product care guidelines
Do’s
- Use a soft microfibre cloth to clean the surface.
- To remove smudges, use a slightly damp, soft cloth for spot cleaning.
Don’ts
- Do not use rough cloths, as they may cause scratches.
- Do not use soaking wet cloths, as water may seep inside the lock and damage electronic components over time.
- Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents, as they may cause discolouration or damage the sensors.

- Maintain a stable internet connection for seamless Wi-Fi functionality.
Usage & security
- Do not hang any objects on the lock body.
- Keep the fingerprint sensor, keypad, and glass surfaces free from dust and obstructions for accurate operation.
- Do not disassemble or modify internal components, as this will void the warranty.
- Keep accessories and small parts out of reach of children.
- Do not share PINs or Admin access with anyone to prevent security breaches.
- Contact customer support if you notice any malfunction.
Terms & Conditions
This is a summary of the key terms under the purchase of this product (“Product”) offered by Urban Company Limited (Formerly known as UrbanClap Technologies India Limited & UrbanClap Technologies India Private Limited), to its customers (“Customer”) subject to the receipt of prescribed payment in full and the terms, conditions and exclusions of the underlying policy. The machine available under the product can be availed only by registered customers of Urban Company or registered customers of Urban Company’s authorized partners.
The Customer agrees to these terms & conditions which shall be read in consonance with the Customer terms & conditions found at www.urbancompany.com/terms and/or the UC mobile application, as updated from time to time.
General
- Some features of the Product, such as remote access, app control, and real-time notifications, require an active internet connection.
- Without internet access, these features may be limited or unavailable.
- Ensuring a consistent internet connection is the sole responsibility of the Customer. Please note that temporary disruptions or outages in your internet service, whether due to planned maintenance, technical issues with your internet service provider, power outages or unforeseen circumstances, may impact the availability of these features.
- Please also note that the performance and responsiveness of certain features may be influenced by the quality and speed of your internet connection. For optimal performance, reliable and high-speed internet service is recommended.
- In such scenarios, the Customer may experience limitations in accessing and controlling your smart lock remotely. However, other functionalities, such as using physical keys or the fingerprint unlock for locking and unlocking, should remain unaffected.
- Proper installation and functionality of the Product depends on the condition of the door. Any existing sagging, warping, misalignment, or other physical defects in the door may affect the performance of the Product. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the door is in suitable condition for installation.
- Exposure to excessive moisture, rain, or direct water spray may damage the Product and impair its functionality. Necessary precautions should be taken to protect the lock from water damage.
- The Product is powered by batteries. Battery life may vary depending on usage patterns, features enabled, and environmental factors. It is the Customer’s responsibility to monitor battery levels and replace batteries as needed to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- The Product may require periodic software updates to improve performance, add new features, or address security vulnerabilities. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the lock’s software is kept up-to-date.
- The Product is covered by a warranty. Please refer to our warranty terms and conditions below for details on coverage and exclusions.
- The Company reserves the right to modify the design of the Products without prior notice in pursuance of its policy of continuous technical improvement. Decision of the Company on the admissibility of the claim under warranty would be final and binding.
- Maximum liability under the warranty would be limited to the cost of the Product. This warranty expressly excludes any claim for incidental or consequential loss or damage. Any representation, warranties or promises inconsistent with or in addition to the warranties contained herewith are unauthorized and shall not be binding on the Company.
- This Company reserves its rights to amend the above terms and conditions without notice. Contact details given in the warranty card are subject to change.
Warranty
NATIVE BY UC UNDERTAKES THE FOLLOWING WARRANTY.
Should your NATIVE BY UC Product fail due to a defect in material or workmanship under normal home use during the Warranty Period set forth below, the Company will repair or replace the Product upon receipt of proof of original purchase.
This warranty is valid only for the original retail purchaser of the Product and applicable only to a Product sold in India by the Company or its authorized partner.
Warranty Period: The Product comes with a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase. The 3 year warranty covers all consumables
(excluding batteries) replacements, electrical issues and manufacturing defects.
Note: If the original date of purchase cannot be verified from the proof of purchase, the warranty will begin 2 months after the manufacturing month, which shall be verified based on the details on the Product packaging.
The Company offers you warranty for Products sold within the territory of India and guarantees that the Product is free from defects in material and workmanship.
What this warranty covers
- Repairs under warranty shall only be carried out by Authorized Personnel or by the Company’s Authorised Service Centers. The details of centralized help lines are provided in the User Manual and can be accessed through QR code on the User Manual.
- The Company’s liability under this warranty shall remain valid only if Authorized Service Personnel has installed the Product at the location specified in the invoice.
- In case of repairs or replacement of any part of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Replacement of parts will be solely at the discretion of the Company. In case the replacement of the entire Product is made, a Product of the same model shall be provided as replacement; if such model has been phased out, the equivalent model as determined by the Company shall be provided as replacement.
- In case of repair, the Company shall endeavour to use new parts. If new parts are not available, then the Company will have every right to repair. The warranty on replacement Product model / refurbished parts shall remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty based on original purchase.
- The Company reserves the right to retain any part or component replaced at its discretion in case of a defect discovered in the Product during the warranty period.
- If any of the colored internal or external components is replaced, the Company shall, on a best effort basis, ensure that the shades match the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, or tints may vary from the Customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching component changed at the Customer’s request other than the component that is needed will be charged.
- In case a Product is found to be dead on arrival i.e non-operational, the same would be replaced after due verification.
- This warranty will automatically be terminated upon the expiration of the Warranty Period specified above, even if the Product may not be in use at any time during the Warranty Period for any reason.
- Only courts in the state of Delhi shall have jurisdiction over the settlement of any and all claims and disputes arising under these terms.
What this warranty does not cover
- If the Customer’s location is not within the municipal limits of the city/town serviceable by the Company’s Authorized Service Personnel or by the Company’s Authorised Service Centers, then visitation charges as per the prevailing price list may apply.
- If any part is replaced during the Warranty Period, then the Product’s warranty continues and not the part’s warranty.
- The warranty does not cover any physical damage to the Product due to mishandling on the Customer’s end.
- Reinstallation or uninstallation of Product based on Customer’s demand- Company will not undertake the packing or transportation of the Product to any new location, this will be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
- Damage resulting from operating the Product contrary to the instructions outlined in the Product’s User Manual or if the Product is not used for the intended purpose.
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, repair, or maintenance. Improper repair includes use of parts other than those approved or specified by the Company. Improper installation is where the Product is installed by anyone other than an Authorized Service Personnel or by the Company’s Authorised Service Centers.
- In case of a damage to the Product or non-operation of Product due to effects of weather on the door and frame or sag on account of loosened hinges are not covered under this warranty. Damage or incompatibility of the Products due to its use in inappropriate operational environment, including external electro-magnetic fields, direct sunlight, high humidity and vibration.
- Warranty will become void if any modifications/alterations are done to the Product or if any spare parts other than the Company’s genuine spare parts are used.
- Warranty will become void if the Product is repaired by anyone other than an Authorized Service Personnel or by the Company’s Authorised Service Centers
- Warranty is not applicable when used in commercial establishments or for any industrial use. Damage or failure caused by commercial or industrial use is not covered under this Warranty.
- Warranty becomes void upon removal, tampering, or alteration of the serial number/ identification labels on the Productor any of its components.
- Damage or failure caused due to entry or seepage of liquids/oils/ chemicals.
- Non-functioning of lock due to use of key other than the key issued by the Company or entry of foreign material in the key hole.
- Any loss or damage to the Product put up for rental or hire purposes.
- A wilful act or wilful negligence of the customer or his/ her representative.
- Aesthetic defects, including but not limited to dents, scratches on painted, polished, or enamelled surfaces, and broken plastic on the Product is not covered under replacement.
- Damage due to third party peripherals.
- Damage due to battery leakage.
- Failures or defects in consumables such as LEDs/batteries.
- Any loss or damage caused to the Product due to theft, burglary, robbery, and incidents involving or attributable to any earthquake, storm, and or hurricane, any abuse or misuse of the appliance, effects of or relating to sand, dust, water, failure to take reasonable care, fire, flood, lightning, malicious damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of God, animal or insect infestation or intrusion.
- Any consequential or incidental loss or injury to a person, or loss or damage to any other item or property, or any incidental, contingent, special, or any direct or indirect loss damages including but not limited to losses incurred due to any delay in rendering service related to this Product and any adverse effects arising from the use of the Product.
